How do we support family members - how do we ourselves - in figuring out what it really means to love someone best in these trying circumstances. There aren't any general answers; only specific ones, and those have to be worked out one at a time. God bless your friend and her husband, and you for your care of them.Marshall Scotthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02807749717320495495noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20406961.post-50275030355554978112008-08-28T17:12:00.000-05:002008-08-28T17:12:00.000-05:00This was a very thoughtful post. I required clients to take home a draft printed copy of the healthcare POA which both listed choices to selected affirmatively and agent designation POA portions. "Take it home. See it in print. Think, pray, talk. When you are ready to sign - call me." It often took weeks, but in those cases people were farther down the road than they would have been before. But in truth, as I have seen again recently with a dear friend who is dying, abstract and concrete carry very different emotions. And for my friend who is alive and can only say "no" this is a hard place to be, when her husband is hoping for the life extender, as I have ministered in the hospital and at home.Law+Gospelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04635380643783565043noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20406961.post-60037472527143627022008-08-26T20:09:00.000-05:002008-08-26T20:09:00.000-05:00Thanks for this post and sharing your experience. ...Thanks for this post and sharing your experience.
